Photo prints are still a crucial part of the digital photography ecosystem and should not be thought of as an "old-fashioned" way to view and share photos. It is a simple fact that a photo print still has the capability to outlast many of the electronic storage methods that are available today, and sharing or passing down important family photos is a lot easier and more appreciable when the photos are arranged in an album or photo book than with a stack of CDs/DVDs or a list of files on a hard drive.

Many consumers do not understand the tangible benefits of photo prints in this way and do not think about it much. Unfortunately for some, they will not think about it until they have something happen that will result in the loss of important photos. There is still a great deal of naivety in the market about the long-term sustainability of electronic storage methods. It is up to vendors with strong positions in the photo printing market to educate them. With many effective ways to print photos today and at lower costs than ever before, now is the perfect time to do spread the photo printing message. This report seeks to supply vendors with information concerning end-users and their photography habits to better market this message.
