Description

At a pre-Drupa press and analyst event in Düsseldorf, Germany, Kodak announced a new 250-feet-per-minute, four-color, drop-on-demand inkjet product called the VL2000 that it will launch at Drupa. Kodak also disclosed that it would show a technology demonstration of its Stream technology at Drupa. The Stream Concept Press uses continuous inkjet technology capable of four-color speeds faster than 500 feet per minute. Printing at quality levels higher than Kodak’s Versamark VX5000e, the products based on this technology will have the ability to print on coated commercial stocks, unlike many high-speed inkjet technologies using water-based inks.
